The families of our hotel’s female management are deeply connected to this village; all of their ancestors originated from here and lived here. These roots and connections remain alive to this day—we continue to cherish and preserve them, never forgetting our origins and traditions. We regularly return to this beautiful Swabian village from nearby Sárospatak as well as from cities farther away.

Nestled in picturesque surroundings, the village was established in the 1750s, when Swabian families from German-speaking regions settled here to begin new lives. Through diligence and perseverance, they shaped and developed their environment.

The characteristic cellar rows that define the village today were built on both sides of the settlement, serving the needs of the local people, as nearly all residents were engaged in farming and viticulture.

Our family still owns vineyards around the village and a cellar for aging wine from our vineyards, located in the southeastern part of the village on the Gombos-hegyi cellar row. This cellar row, with its four-level layout, is now considered a symbol of the Tokaj-Hegyalja region.

The cellar is a family heritage, honoring the manual labor of our grandfather. He started shaping the branches of the cellar, carved into tuff, in the mid-1980s, typically during winter when outdoor work was not possible. Even then, many villagers and tourists stopped by to admire his creative work, which makes our cellar unique. Later, at the initiative of our father, a guest reception area was developed in front of the cellar in the early 2000s.

The Kőporosi vineyard is located in the northwestern part of the village. Our hotel was built adjacent to the winding Kőporosi cellar rows, offering a picturesque view of the Zemplén mountain ranges, nearby Király-hill, Megyer-hely slopes, and the distant tent-shaped hills.

When choosing the location of our hotel, our primary goal was to envision our establishment in an exceptional setting where breathtaking panoramic views open onto the picturesque ranges of the Zemplén Mountains, and where our guests can discover the perfect relaxation amidst the enchanting world of the surrounding vineyards.

Guided by this vision, we created an elegant hotel equipped to meet every modern expectation, with each thoughtfully designed room offering uninterrupted views of the region’s stunning natural beauty.

Our ground-floor accessible room, as well as the accommodations on the first floor, feature private balconies, ensuring the opportunity for intimate and peaceful relaxation. The hotel also offers a private enclosed parking area, a charming shared terrace, and a meticulously maintained garden, from which guests can admire the majestic panorama of the vineyard-covered hills.

In our restaurant, we welcome visitors with refined gastronomic experiences: our seasonally renewed selection is complemented by themed wine tasting evenings, where culinary pleasure and the art of winemaking come together in perfect harmony.

The tourist attractions and cultural treasures of the Zemplén region and Tokaj-Hegyalja offer excellent leisure opportunities for our guests during their stay. Wine enthusiasts may immerse themselves in the traditions of winemaking and the rich, diverse world of wines in our hotel’s exclusive wine bar, on its panoramic terrace, or within the cool tasting cellars of the renowned local wineries.

Complete physical and mental rejuvenation is ensured by our wellness facilities: indoors, a sauna and jacuzzi provide the perfect setting for relaxation and renewal, while our outdoors hot tubs offer a unique, nature-inspired experience for those seeking peaceful retreat.
